Description
Travel back in time with this 1926 Buescher True-Tone alto saxophone. The serial number stamped on the back of the bow is 209,667. Buescher, Elkhart, Ind. , is stamped on the front of the bell. Cosmetically, it looks okay. There is a lot of lacquer finish wear. It has booster pads and stainless steel springs. Functionally, it is in good shape. The key mechanisms and pads work. It comes with a Berg Larsen metal mouthpiece cap, a Martin metal ligature, a plastic mouthpiece, and cork grease. It comes in a newer hard case. The handle, latches, and hinges are all functional. The previous owner put a piece of tape on the outside of the lid with identifying information. I've left it on. It's a good All-American saxophone, ready for its next owner. Questions? It will be well packed with plenty of new 1/2" bubble wrap and shipped in a stout cardboard instrument box.
