The above paragraph courtesy of eBay AI! Haha. My details follow. This a Conn Transitional alto saxophone with nice “naked lady” engraving on the bell. Serial number M2509XXdates it to 1932. Interesting features include the microtuner, double-socket neck, under-slung octave key, right hand G# trill key, (circled in one photo), swivel thumb rest, and the Eb palm key opens the D key. Also “STD’D” is stamped on the neck. This horn sounds great and feels good in the hands. I think the weight of the neck lends stability to he higher range and contributes to a fat altissimo. The pads are sealing pretty well and this horn could be ready for gigs with little or no adjustment. There is definitely something special about these old Conns and the sound is just right for many players. This horn ships in a funky old case of unknown origin and this auction doesn’t include a mouthpiece. There is a slight ding on the bow and some plating is worn through, showing brass.
