Description
This 1935 Conn 6M Transitional alto saxophone, serial number M269xxxA, made in the USA, represents one of the earlier 6M versions and is a rare and highly sought-after model that bridges the gap between the New Wonder Series II and the 6M "Artist" alto. The saxophone features the iconic lady face engraving and appears to still have its original lacquer, which is in very good condition for its age. The pads are in excellent condition. The action is snappy, intonation is excellent, and the tone is warm. The micro-tuner on the neck works as intended. This 6M has a powerful sound and a lot of flexibility, suitable for classic, and modern jazz. This horn is ideal for collectors, enthusiasts, and professional players alike. There is one small ding on the neck, visible in the picture, which does not affect playability or sound. The original case, also in very good condition, is included.
