Description
Selmer Super-Action "SBA" Alto Saxophone Org. Lacquer/Case/Clarinet Serial Number 42447 US Engraving New Pads on offer. The SBA is playing pretty well, with newly installed "soft feel" Music Medic pads-a setup to taste is recommended. The Super Balanced Action Alto shows plenty of lacquer wear/engraving wear with a couple of minor dings. Neck and Body serial numbers match. The included Selmer N Series Clarinet (as part of the original case with clarinet add-on) needs everything & has a non original Conn branded bore and cracked bell. Wooden body cap is not original. Also included is the original warranty card. Esteemed Selmer Historian Douglas Pipher who has access to the Selmer Archives (not in any way affliated with this listing/sale) gives a little background on this particular SBA: "Selmer 42447 is a US-market Super-Action Alto which shipped from Selmer Paris, fully assembled, in FEBURARY 1951. It was engraved and lacquered and set up in Elkhart, Indiana. Selmer Paris shipped roughly 705 Altos to the US in 1951." Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions.
