Purple Coneflower Echinacea Purpurea 25 Seeds Chill Hill Farms Purple Coneflower is not native to our farms here in the Florida Panhandle, but we have started to plant them everywhere! Papa loves the beautiful purple flowers and these have become his favorites! We sowed the first coneflower seeds in the fall of 2020. By the Spring of 2021 we had beautiful plants, but absolutely no flowers. We were pretty disappointed, but kept watching and waiting..... Spring of 2022 came around and these little plants took off! Multiple purple flowers stretched about knee high and bloomed all Spring. By Summer they were starting to fade & seed. We are super excited to see these flowers do so well here. Our soil is still pretty sandy with little nutrients, but these flowers do not mind! The bees, butterflies and hummingbirds just love to visit the flowers! Little birds love to pick out the seeds in late Fall. Echinacea is used medicinally for colds & respiratory problems. Please do your research before experimenting! These seeds were harvested July 2024 Seed Starting Seeds can be sown in Fall for natural over-Winter stratification to see sprigs by Spring. Alternatively, place seeds in a bag of sand in the refrigerator for 8-10 weeks prior to planting.
