Some familiar names are Chinaberry Tree, Syringaberry Tree, and Cape lilac. Its native lands are Indonesia and Australia, where it grows 30 to 50 feet tall and 15 to 25 feet wide. They are known to live up to 150 years old. Seeds are poisonous, while the leaves are fed to cattle to improve the milk yield. Fodder trees are used to separate property lines, and the trimmings from the trees are used to provide livestock. It likes to grow in full sun with moist soil.
