Description

Great vintage alto saxophone in excellent cosmetic condition for its age! This instrument has been serviced including: replacing necessary pads, new neck cork, chem cleaning the body and neck, and cleaning, polishing, and oiling the keys! Evette Schaeffer was sponsored by Buffet-Crampon, a well known manufacturer around the world! The lacquer is in great condition in addition to the plating on the body! There is wear on the bell (pictured) and other small wear along the body. The engravings are still in excellent condition and all pearls are intact. The case is in decent condition. There's plenty of room inside for supplies and it's clean inside. There is a bit of a must smell inside the case that is not overwhelming. The outside shows wear including some tears in the leather, small stains, and a bit of rust on the metal parts. But latches function, but can sometimes be stiff when re-latching.
