Description

PALMER'S PENSTEMON. American heirloom wildflower. Perennial. One of the easiest to grow from the Beardtongue family. Light pink blooms with purple streaks . Continuous blooms all spring. Drought and heat tolerant. Butterflies, Bees and hummingbirds love this plant. This plant is not picky about soil. It will grow just about anywhere with 6 hours of sunlight. Winter hardy. Also, a good-looking plant when not in bloom. 300+ Quality seeds. Some American Native Wildflower seeds need to go through a cold winter to germinate. This plant is one of them. They do this so the seed won’t sprout in fall, only to have the seedling not make it through a cold winter. I have stratified these seeds to simulate a cold winter(stratification) This raises the germination rate considerably. Thanks for looking!! Penstemon palmeri. Perennial. Full sun. Spring, soil temp 55F+. SOW 1/16" deep, 6" apart. Keep moist. Germination 15-30 days. Thin to 18". Height 24 - 36" x 18" Wide. Medium water. Light fertilizer if needed. Flowers are light pink. Blooms in through spring.
