Description
A fantastic hybrid English/True Lavender that's earlier blooming and blooms for longer, 'Ellagance Snow' has a profusion of sparkling white flowers. Can be grown to flowering size first year from seed. Forms a nice and tidy plant that doesn't grow too tall or crazy, but has enough height to command attention. Wonderful in cottage gardens or as a low-growing hedge, or tucked in between annuals and low-growing shrubs and summer bulbs. Germination Instructions: These seeds germinate readily and easily. For best results, sow the seeds in a tray, on the surface of good quality seed raising mix. Then pat the seeds lightly to the surface of the mix to ensure good contact. Do not overly cover the seeds , just lightly press into the soil. Moisten the mix thoroughly by standing the tray in a shallow water bath, and allow the moisture to percolate up to the surface of the mix from below. Alternatively, you can gently mist from above regularly. Place the moist, sown tray in a warm, well-lit position (not in direct sunlight). Temperatures of 68-86F are ideal for rapid and optimum germination. Continue to keep moist by misting from a spray water bottle or re-soaking the tray as needed. Seeds should start germinating within 2-4 weeks. Pluck out seedlings when they have 2-3 sets of true leaves, and plant them in 3-4" containers. Grow on for another 4-6 weeks and they'll be ready to transplant into the ground.
