Description

1989 ARMSTRONG Alto Sax with Original Case and Vintage Goldentone 3 Mouthpiece. Sax Serial #3910727. This Armstrong alto sax has been cleaned and *adjusted, and play very good from top to bottom with a distinct, clear tone on the included Goldentone 3 mouthpiece. Pads, corking, and felts are in good to very good playing condition with only the octave key pad being replaced. Springs show quick response. Cosmetically, there is one mild dent on the lower back, a couple small dings on the neck from the octave key, some scuffing and scratches on the back and bell tube, and small crease wear on the front bell lip from repair - nothing to interfere with playing performance. The bow, neck, keys, and key guards look great (see video and pictures). The original case is in very good condition with some scuffs. It's sturdy and all hardware are fully functional. Included with the case are a new microfiber polishing cloth, a neckstrap, 2 extra cane reeds, a bite plate protector for the mouthpiece (two mild bite marks are present), and the Goldentone 3 mouthpiece w/new ligature, cap, and new Rico Plasticover reed.
