Up for auction is a rare professional 1942 Conn 26M "CONNQUEROR" alto saxophone. This alto saxophone is not currently in playable condition. The pads are in poor to fair condition and should be replaced soon for good playing condition or overhauled for optimal performance . There are no major body dents present and several minor dings don't affect performance. These are some of the nicest feeling Conn's ever produced and many keys have solid sterling silver touch pieces. They have adjustments on almost every key, so you can really personalize them. These are amazing saxophones due to their immense amount of engineering. The micro tunable socket neck has minor dents and has no signs of pull down. This alto saxophone has minor scratches throughout and lacquer wear is minimal, with approximately 90% of lacquer intact(may not be original). The serial number is in the 291,xxx range, which dates the year of manufacturer to approximately 1942. Included is a very used non-original wood shell alto saxophone case(case latches should be replaced), but is fine for shipping. There is no body socket cap or mouthpiece included, the pictures provided are considered as part of the description and t his alto saxophone is being sold in "as-is" condition.
