Description
Vintage Silver-Plated Alto Sax In Good Condition. Engraved Stentor. I was told the horn is from the 1940 or 50s, distributed by Stentor Paris. The silver-plated body is almost flawless. The finger rests are mother-of-pearl. Some keys are showing some discoloration on top (might to have been replaced at some point) but all are working properly. The neck seems to be original but the included mouthpiece is generic. I played this sax in the 1980s in Germany and since then it’s been resting in its case. The corks seem to be in fine condition and when I tried the sax it played just as it used to. Unfortunately I have no information on the maker since there are no markings or serial number other than the engraved “Stentor Paris” and a 64 or G4 stamp inside the elbow. The instrument was appraised at $1200. Ask me for more pictures. Local pickup in Brooklyn possible.
